Fishng Report August 31 2022 Ucluelet BC

Fishing has continued to be strong for Chinook in close to shore. The run size was predicted to be close to 150,000 Chinook going up the Stamp river but we haven't seen the insane fishing expected. However fishing has been good and we are still enjoying  many double hookups and some fast bites. Most guides are packing bait but I am one of the holdouts that prefers using spoons to lure in the fish. There are often less hookups but there is a higher percentage that come in the boat. But most of the guys are running small anchovies and finding success there as well.

Halibut and coho are both offshore and the halibut fishing has been very good at Big Bank. Lingcod fishing also continues to be decent. Below are pics from the past couple weeks.
