Fishing Report
June 16, 2012
June fishing always brings some rain, clouds, and early Chinook! There are small feeder Chinook at all depths with a few larger ones taken as well. The Chinook have been in a few different spots including Long Beach, South Bank and Lighthouse bank. This time of year Coyote or Silver Horde 4” spoons work well along with needlefish hutchies. As June roles on the fishing should really pick up. By late June we should start to see Coho. The forecast for Chinook fishing is supposed to be the best in a while. So far the fishing has been normal—for Ucluelet that means you are still getting good action and a good load of fish at the end of each day. Halibut fishing has been steady. We have mostly been bottom bouncing for halibut.Below are some pics from the last week!
